Job Description:
Senior Accountant Opportunity
CFS is partnering with an industry-leading real estate redevelopment project in Brooklyn, NY, to hire an Accountant. This role offers an incredible opportunity to contribute to a transformative, mixed-use office and retail campus housing diverse businesses and high-profile tenants, including the Brooklyn Nets headquarters. Experience in commercial real estate is highly favored and will distinguish candidates in this competitive hiring process.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
- Perform forensic account analysis on financial reporting, balance sheets, and related-party transactions.
- Maintain accounting integrity by preparing and reviewing journal entries.
- Oversee cash management and perform detailed bank reconciliations.
- Manage and consolidate financial data for accurate accounting at both the consolidated and unit levels.
- Oversee the budget process, including automation using MRI software.
- Supervise accounts payable, including credit card purchases, expense reports, and coding.
Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with MRI Software and Spreadsheet Server is a plus.
