Creative Financial Staffing has been exclusively retained by a highly reputable Automotive Group to identify an Accounts Payable Manager to join their team.

Overview of the Accounts Payable Manager opportunity:

• Highly reputable automotive group with over $1B in revenue. They have 15+ dealerships across the East Coast of the US.
• Fast-growing dealership group expanding both through acquisition and organic growth.
• The Accounts Payable Manager will ensure that the department operates smoothly, maintain accurate and complete records regarding payments to suppliers, lenders, and employees, process payments from clients, and hire, train, and support Accounts Payable staff members.

The Accounts Payable Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3 Accounts Payable staff members as well as the entire Accounts Payable process. This includes Customer Vendor Relations and the AP disbursement group which handles all check disbursements, 1099, and tax-related matters for all dealerships.
• Maintain and update accurate record of W9, Vendors Insurance Liabilities forms, and any legal forms
• Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies
• Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information and accuracy.
• Oversee routine department activities, such as disbursing checks to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.
• Compile, analyze, and report financial information to management and government agencies.
• Develop, implement, improve, and enforce budgets, policies, and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance preferred but not required.
• 5+ years total Accounts Payable experience with at least 2+ years in an Accounts Payable Supervisor or Manager role.
• Must have a multilocation company experience.
• Experience establishing and implementing process improvement initiatives within a high growth environment
• Passion to mentor and develop team
