Senior Accountant – Metro Atlanta

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Oversee the accounts payable (AP) process, including vendor setup, invoice processing, payment handling, and 1099 reviews.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for production accounting teams, managing invoicing for production shoots and utilities.
• Manage event space invoicing and receivables for clients utilizing studio facilities.
• Execute month-end financial close activities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with GAAP.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
• Assist with audit preparations and ensure compliance with internal financial controls.
• Take ownership of financial reporting processes, supporting leadership with analysis and insights.
• Participate in special projects and provide accounting support for the evolving real estate and studio operations.

Qualifications & Skills Required for the Senior Accountant Role:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• 2+ years of general accounting experience, either in public accounting or a private corporate setting.
• CPA certification is a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, engaging with various teams, including executive leadership.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with accounting software and financial management tools.
