ABOUT THE COMPANY and Accounting Manager Opportunity

Our client is a publicly traded market leader in the manufacturing sector, renowned for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence. This role is specifically designed to support the development for increased responsibilities and growth to Assistant Controller and Controller! The ideal candidate will have job costing experience and exposure to SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q and 8 K's). This will be a sole contributor role until the succession to Assistant Controller. This role offers true Work-life balance of rarely more than 40 hours a week!!!

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Accounting Manager:

• The Accounting Manager will be responsible for planning and control over annual physical inventory
• The Accounting Manager will work with operations to identify material requirements, costing and data collection
• The Accounting Manager will prepare and report monthly financial performance and analytics
• Prepare and review variance analysis
• Review and update internal control procedures
• Work and assist on audit - testing and SOX 404 requirements
• Assist the Controller to prepare SEC documents

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED for the Accounting Manager:

We are looking for someone who enjoys seeing the whole picture and working in a friendly team-oriented environment.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from 4 year university
• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience required
• 3-5 years of public financial reporting experience - industry and/or audit
• CPA (+)
