💲 Compensation: $25-35/hour

CFS is seeking a Bookkeeper commutable to Middletown, who can jump into a team of 3 and assist with transactional accounting responsibilities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized professional who enjoys managing financial records and ensuring accuracy in day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections

• Reconcile bank and credit card statements to maintain accurate financial records

• Process payroll as a backup for a group of 60+

• Maintain the general ledger, posting journal entries and adjustments as needed

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures

• Prepare financial reports to support management in decision-making

• Work closely with external accountants for tax preparation and audits

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience

• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial best practices

• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
