Senior Accountant
Bakersfield | Full-time | Direct-hire

Our client, a well-established and growing organization in Kern County, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

• Analyze financial data and trends to support management in strategic decision-making

• Support the budgeting and forecasting process

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies

• Work closely with auditors during annual audits

• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide support on complex accounting matters

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a mid-to-large-sized company

• Strong understanding of GAAP

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
